Historic Frenchtown St Charles

Historic Frenchtown St Charles

Historic Frenchtown is located just north of Historic Main Street in St. Charles, Missouri. It encompasses 26 blocks of unique architecture including shops, restaurants and homes. It was founded by the French in 1769 and became a National Trust Historic District in 1991, being one of 4 historic districts in St. Charles. Residents and business owners, along with the Frenchtown Historic Association, are continuing to work hard to revitalize the area. Antique lovers will want to carefully explore Frenchtown because there are about 20 shops that carry unique pieces from many historical periods, including Victorian, Depression, 1904 World's Fair and others. Frenchtown also has one of the largest selections of vintage architectural products in the United States!
