Historic Frenchtown is located just north of Historic Main Street in St. Charles, Missouri. It encompasses 26 blocks of unique architecture including shops, restaurants and homes. It was founded by the French in 1769 and became a National Trust Historic District in 1991, being one of 4 historic districts in St. Charles. Residents and business owners, along with the Frenchtown Historic Association, are continuing to work hard to revitalize the area.
